February

I'm sick.  I'm tired of being sick.  Guess what?!  Mom is taking just me to Disneyland for my 9th Birthday!  I am so super excited.  I am planning to ride on every single ride.  I'm tall enough this time.  I get to have my Birthday party with Mickey and Minnie Mouse!  How cool is that?!  We've been home with Jia for over three months.  It's going well.  She has grown a lot.  She changes every day.  She's learning lots of words.  This morning Fei taught her boo for peek a boo.  I just love her so much.  My sister is having a polar bear/snowflake Birthday party in a couple weeks.  We're starting to get ready for that.  Mom and Dad are talking a lot about us home schooling.  I want to but I'm afraid I'll miss my friends.  Mom says I have lots of friends outside of school and that we'll meet other home school friends.  We got a Wii for Christmas, I really wanted one.  It's super duper fun.  Mama got a new smart phone for her Birthday, it does lots of cool things.  Mom is also sick and yesterday was her Birthday and she says it was the worst Birthday ever.  We were supposed to go out for a combination Chinese New Year and Mom's 45th Birthday but we were too sick to go.  Now we're all hoping we'll feel better by Sunday and maybe go out for lunch in Victoria for Chinese food. 

New pictures of Jia

This is my baby sister Jia, the picture was taken today!  I got home from school and Mom called to tell us there were new pictures.  I was really excited to see her.  She looks so cute.

Today we got our real classes and I'm with Mrs. Nowicki again with all of my friends, so I'm pretty happy about that. 

Jia

My new little baby sister is named Jia Yu Xin.  Today we are going to Vancouver to sign paperwork saying we're accepting her into our family.  It's pretty exciting.  Right now we are on the ferry, usually we play cards, but today we're blogging instead.  How cool is that?!  The boat is a little bumpy and I'm a little sea sick.  There are lots of babies on board and it makes me think of our baby. 

I'm a Big Sister Again

I'm a big sister X2.  We're getting a baby girl from Jiangxi Province, that's where Fei Fei was born.  I wonder if she'll look like Fei.   Mom says we'll get to go get her in October.  I can't wait.  Hopefully we can see her pictures soon.  I can't believe I'm a big sister again.  I have so much to teach her.  I'm really excited.

Mia

Two days ago Tina passed away, she had cancer.  I'm really, really upset that she got sick and I'm going to really miss her.  Fei and I are staying at Gramma's for a couple of days.  Mama and Daddy picked us up last night and took us to Victoria to look at new baby rats and I found my new baby Mia there, she is 6 weeks old.  She's so tiny and sweet.  She's going to meet Dixie tonight.  Mom is picking us up on her way home today.  I don't know, I think Mom is crazy but she thinks finally after all this time that we are finally going to get the referral for my new baby sister next week.  Avery is at Gramma's today too, it's been fun playing with her today.  Tonight we're going camping at Kissinger Lake, it's Fei's gotcha day on Sunday. 

Tina

We just found out that Tina has cancer.  She is going to die.  She seems fine right now, she has a huge tumor on her back.  I don't want her to be in pain or get scared so Mama and Dad say we'll wait for her to tell us it's time to go and we'll take her back to the vets to die.  Yesterday we packed up to go camping and we think this might be Tina's last camping trip.  I love her so much, I'm not ready for her to go.  We don't think Dixie will like being alone, it's just so sad. 

I'm proud of my sister Fei today because she is riding her bike without training wheels.  On gravel, cement, dirt and grass.  Yehaw!  Great job Fei Fei.

Lucky's adventure

On Tuesday Fei and I went into our pool.  We had a blast!  After we got dressed and went into town with Dad to run errands.  First we went to pick up criminal checks for our adoption agency then we went to the hairdressers to see if Dad could get his hair cut.  They said yes but not for a few minutes, so Dad took us to get sandwiches at Cherry's and we took them back to eat while he got his long hair cut all off.  I miss Daddy's long hair but he still looks nice.  Lucky was with us while we ate our lunch but when we were done I forgot him there.  I didn't realize he was missing until bed time.  It was awful.  I was so scared for him and sad for me.  I cried a little.  Mama made me retrace my steps until I was fairly sure where he was.  Then Dad drove us all down town at 10:00pm to look in the windows at the hairdressers.  It was dark and Mama had to use a flashlight but we saw him there and he was glad that we came to find him.  He was locked in of course so he had to spend the night there.  Then in the morning we hopped in the car and picked him up.  I was so relieved that he was ok.  He told me that he was scared at first but then when he got to know the ladies he wasn't that scared anymore.  Then we went to Tim Hortons so that Lucky could have a treat.  I've promised Mama that Lucky will stay in the car from now on. 

Yesterday Gramma picked us up and we went shopping in town.  We got to pick out our own clothes for school.  I got three outfits from two stores.  I love shopping with Gramma. 

Today Gramma and Poppa Nelson came for a visit.  Fei and I got to go in the pool while they visited with Dad and they all watched us in the pool. 

Right now families are starting to get referrals, we're going to see our baby really soon.  Hopefully tomorrow.  Mama says it might not be until next week.  I can not wait to see Anlin.  Mom reminds me that the baby's name might not be Anlin but probably.
